The Opportunity

The Director, Global Sales Enablement Lead (Director, GSE) is responsible for owning, building and driving best practices global sales process and governance across all commercial organizations and portfolios; Ensuring simple and clear definition and governance of sales process, developing systems/apps strategies according to the process and providing standardization and guidance on key performance metrics. This leadership role is to partner closely with the Regional Heads, Regional Sales Enablement Leads, Learning and Development, Global Information Systems and Marketing to develop and align strategies to drive implementation related to Sales Enablement. This position reports directly to the Global Head of Key Processes & Initiatives located in Raritan, NJ.

The Responsibilities

  • Sales Process - Strategy, Governance and Implementation
  • Own global sales process - define and clarify sales process steps, governance and drive consistent practices of sales process and funnel management across all regions
  • Structure governance process to drive decision making and execution alignment on continuous sales process improvements and priorities, partners with all regional sales enablement leads, learning & development and global information systems.
  • Lead continuous process and related systems improvement process through structured governance
  • Drive best and consistent practices of sales process across all regions, particularly opportunity & funnel management for end users and distributors
  • Define and align business requirements globally and facilitates systems/apps decision making based on business needs. Ensure simple, optimized and cost-effective implementation.
  • Provide guidance on content & tools mapping according to sales process, does not own content creation
  • Partners closely with Analytics teams to develop global metrics to provide actionable insights
  • Translate sales process and business requirements for the CRM future state inputs
  • Partners with Systems team to successfully identify, assess, propose then implement
  • Develop and monitor metrics to continuously improve on behavior and data quality
  • People Development and Organizational Influence
  • Attract, retain and develop talents in critical roles through differentiating performance, investing in development and shaping a high performance culture
  • Liaises with L&D, Commercial Leaders and HR to give recommendations on people development, talent retention and selection and hiring.

    The Individual

  • MANDATORY Bachelor?s degree in Marketing, Business or related field; Preferred MBA or advanced degrees in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
  • MANDATORY ? Minimum of 8+ years of Sales and Sales Management experience in in-vitro lab diagnostics (IVD - May consider medical device/products or similar capital and consumable sales process targeting global hospitals, networks, reference labs, etc.)
  • Strongly prefer diverse & progressive, global experiences in Sales, Sales Excellence/Enablement, Training, Sales Management, Business Development, Corporate Accounts or Marketing experiences
  • MANDATORY ? Global Sales & Sales Management experience in IVD sector with a complex, competitive, global company. Heavy emphasis on prior sales enablement, sales operations, business process lead experience as well as market strategy, deal engagement & analysis, tool development, customer engagement and successful tactical execution. Proven track record of achievement
  • MANDATORY - Minimum of 2+ years direct management of staff
  • MANDATORY performance excellence with demonstrated leadership to lead, influence and drive changes across regions, levels and functions
  • MANDATORY CRM (SFDC) experience and expertise inclusive of dashboards and optimization of forecasting, targeting, etc.
  • MANDATORY high organization and customer engagement; ability, desire and proven impact on commercial success internally and externally.
  • MANDATORY high energy; driven; collaborative; highest integrity and ability to get the most out of her/his organizations.
  • MANDATORY past successes leading large-scale, strategic projects with a high level of success.
  • Should have experience interfacing with highly motivated, decisive senior leadership within a global healthcare company.
  • Must be an adaptable, analytical, strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Superior problem-solving skills and demonstrated aptitude for managing and developing personnel.
  • Experience with financial modeling, forecasting and budgeting.
  • The ability to work in a matrix organization with cross-functional teams is required.
  • Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills are required.
  • The ability to converse clearly and knowledgeably with key opinion leaders, internal and external stakeholders is essential.
  • Must appreciate and be effective in a team-oriented atmosphere with a desire to be a part of a fast-moving, dynamic leadership team
  • Personable but strong leader who can put together organizations and get the most out of his/her people. A person who engenders a culture of productivity, esprit d? corp and commitment throughout his/her organization

  • Ability to interact effectively as a member of the senior executive team, contributing to Company issues beyond operations. Ability to work at both strategic levels and day-to-day levels with sales, marketing, operations, QA/QC, HR, supply chain and finance.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills: Ability to resolve issues related to staffing, performance, and discipline.
  • Global experience through direct responsibility and/or project work is preferred
