Janssen Research & Development LLC is part of the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies.The Lead Data Analyst will be responsible for modern Information Technology (IT) expertise, and R knowledge to transform the way IT is applied in Big Data Management. As a Lead Data Analyst, this role will be responsible for Data Ingestion, Cataloguing, Preparation & Consumption which includes extensive Machine Learning based automation. This is a magnificent opportunity for the applicant to become a part of an innovative and energetic team that develops data models in conjunction with the creation of insightful analytics, the Data Analyst will enhance the digital and analytics capability.ResponsibilitiesRecommend and implement changes to improve overall data quality and processing times, as well as anticipate future needs.Monitor master data integrity in key systems and lead processes to achieve data quality target.Perform ongoing data analysis activities and provide analytical support on business metadata to ensure that it is accessible and meaningful to business users.Ensure data documentation policies and procedures are properly developed and maintained.Collect and interpret data. Identify patterns and trends in data sets.Develop analysis and reporting capabilities. Build scripts that will make data evaluation processes more flexible or scalable across data sets.Support big data infrastructure architecture (Cloudera, StreamSets, Marklogic, Denodo)Lead the build and operationalization of monitoring and tracking of data quality and data flow dynamics.Lead the build of Service APIs to facilitate easy access.Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, developing and maintaining protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data.QualificationsBachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred in Information Technology, andor other quantitative field.Data visualization tool experience - Spotfire, Qlik preferred.Strong verbal and written communication skills required.A minimum of 2 years of internshipexperience in Big Data (Cloudera distribution preferred) and Core technologies (Java C++ Python).Programming experience in Big Data as a Service (Hadoop cloud in microservices architecture), Data Ingestion, Data Unification, Big scale Data Transformation, Data Wrangling and Data Visualization is required.Demonstrated ability for a rapid understanding of business processes, and their technology implications.Experience in the use of Agile methodology, process engineering and prototyping tools is helpful.10% domestic andor international travel required.Pharma Industry preferred, technical knowledge of data platforms and software technology, knowledge of business process and business strategy, experience working across multiple levels of an organization, leadership skills, building context around key business drivers and strategic plan.Capable of creative thinking relative to new and emerging technologies and analytics, and capable of applying creative capabilities where appropriateAn IT pragmatist, who knows when to leverage infrastructure to deliver upon traditional needs as well as unlock opportunities for innovation from technologyThrives in a rapidly changing technology and business environment while scaling for perfection and global expansionJohnson & Johnson is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
